| Taxidermy Instruction Starting this winter. We are offering Personal instruction on all forms of taxidermy. These Workshops are structured for first timers or beginners just starting out in taxidermy Each Workshop will run 3 days a week for a duration of 3 to 5 weeks depending on class and level you wish to learn. Workshops will be 1-3 people max. The way these workshops will run Depending on the field you wish to learn IE: waterfowl,pheasant,fish(skin) fish(repro) or both,Deer heads, Mammals... Each work shop is done for that species. In each workshop you will learn from start to finish everything you need to do to produce that mount. During these workshops you will learn Skinning and prep Casting All parts Altering forms Tanning your own skin (NO DP used here) Making your own fiberglass fish Making death masks proper airbrushing and use of other paint meds. Carcass casting birds and mammals Freeze drying Casting fish and bird heads AND MUCH MUCH MORE!!!! I have trained with many great and talented taxidermists Been to countless seminars and competed on all levels. I have also trained with not so talented taxidermists I have seen the Good the bad and the ugly. I will teach you the "RIGHT WAY" Of doing things and show you the mistakes you should avoid. Taxidermy is an ever learning trade I am willing share my talents and maybe get a chance to learn more as I do. These workshops will take place at my studio in East Hampton Ct. The following workshops are now being offered Deer heads 5 week Fish Skin mount 5 week Fiberglass fish repro( take fish skin first) 5 week Upland birds 3 week Waterfowl 3 week Small mammal 5 week Class rates are 150.00 a day for a 6 hour day.
